COMPETITIONS

OTTAWA, ONT., major additions to the Carleton County Protestant Hospital, 1896. Arnoldi & Ewart were one of two firms who submitted elaborate drawings for the commission, and their design was described in detail in The Evening Journal [Ottawa], 26 Feb. 1896, 6. The competition was won by A.M. Calderon.
HULL, QUE., City Hall, 1901. The office of Arnoldi & Ewart were one of seven firms who submitted designs for this public building (Evening Journal [Ottawa], 16 May 1901, 9). The competition was later won by Charles Brodeur of Hull, Que.
