Biography of the Editor:

The Dictionary is written, edited and compiled by Robert G. Hill, Architect, FRAIC

Educated in Toronto, he holds an Honours Degree in Architectural Technology from Ryerson University and an Honours Degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto. He studied architectural history under the late Prof. James Acland (UofT), and after working in New York City and in Ottawa he returned to Toronto and became a registered architect. He has served as the Editor of the Dictionary project since 1982, and continues to work as an architect, researcher and photographer in Toronto. In 2011 he was appointed as a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, and in 2012 he was awarded the Order of da Vinci Medal from the Ontario Association of Architects for his work on the Dictionary project.
