COMPETITIONS
CITY HALL & MARKET BUILDING, Front Street East at Jarvis Street, 1844. Among the eights sets of plans submitted by Toronto architects were two schemes by Howard (British Colonist [Toronto], 19 April 1844, 2). One of his proposals was given a Second Prize of £15, with Henry B. Lane being awarded the commission.
