COMPETITIONS
QUEBEC CITY, QUE., Custom House, 1856. Scott was one of fourteen competitors from the United States and Canada who submitted designs for this important federal building (NAC, RG 11, Vol. 90, File No. 3, ‘Schedule of Competitors for the Proposed Quebec Custom House’, 25 March 1856. William Thomas of Toronto was awarded First Premium. A perspective drawing of the design by Scott can be found in the Picture Collection at National Archives of Canada (C 104598)
